Clare Miller - Collaborative Pianist

Clare Miller has established herself internationally, as a steadfast and sensitive collaborative artist.  She appreciates a diverse range of relationships across the globe, including a four-hand duo with Valery Lloyd-Watts, chamber music partnerships with members of the Kingston Symphony Orchestra and the Dan School of Drama and Music at Queen’s University, and collaborations with numerous choirs, music theatre groups and opera companies.

A graduate of Keele University, England, Clare enriched her collaborative skills working in the UK with the Bath International Music Festival, Bristol Opera Company, Bath Philharmonia and with Peter Gabriel. Now based in Kingston, Canada, she has enjoyed partnerships with the Thousand Islands Playhouse, Westben Arts Festival, and currently with the Cantabile Choirs of Kingston, Dan School of Drama and Music at Queen's University, Kingston Chamber Choir, Kingston Choral Society, Queen’s Community Music, and the Kingston Symphony Orchestra.

Equally at home with instrumental and vocal repertoire, Clare has appeared with the Canadian Operatic Arts Academy (London, ON), Tapestry New Opera 101 (Toronto, ON), and the Instrumental Collaborative Piano Festival (Pittsburgh, PA). She has pursued solo and concerto opportunities at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts, and with the Keele Philharmonic Orchestra, Bath Philharmonia, Quinte Symphony and Orchestra Kingston, while preserving an interest in early music and keyboard instruments.

Clare balances her freelance pianistic career with an active teaching studio and robust family life in Ontario. She is thrilled to be a guest artist with the World Trumpet Society Seminar this summer.
